Sheeba is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. This Great Dane cross is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than showering her human companions with cuddles and attention.
Sheeba was quite skinny and lethargic when she first came into care, but her wonderful carers have nurtured her back to health and now has a medium energy level. She's a big girl, and very strong, so she'll need a confident handler.
Sheeba enjoys playtime with other animals but is definitely people-motivated, craving human interaction and affection. Therefore she definitely needs to be allowed inside, as she just wants to be close to her people. She would be best suited to an older family that will dote on her (she insists on being the centre of attention), and possibly be an only dog, if she gets the attention she wants. She can be a little temperamental, so would not suit a home with young children.
Sheeba knows her basic commands such as sit and stand - she didn't get out of the yard much in her previous life so is still getting used to walking on lead, but doing quite well considering. Given her size, tall fencing would be ideal to keep her safe.
Despite a rough start, Sheeba's resilient spirit shines through, and she's now thriving and ready to find her forever family. If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion to join your home, Sheeba could be the one for you!
Sheeba is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
