NOTE: You are unable to meet Jocie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Jocie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Ideally a home on property where I am doing what I was bred to do = protect livestock
• Walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I am nervous & not interactive with other dogs but am tolerant of them so another gentle dog should be ok
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of physical and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• I am reserved, nervous & avoidant in unfamiliar situations & around new people. Once I get to know you I love getting cuddles & giving you my paw

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone without any interaction
• Young kids due to my shy & timid nature

My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans once I get to know you
• I walk like a breeze on lead
• I am housetrained & will only go to the toilet on grass
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch once I feel comfortable

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I am headshy around sudden movements, positive reinforcement and some TLC should help this
