About Loki
Introducing Loki!
Loki is an American Staffy x born 4th June 2022.
Beautiful Loki was brought in to the facility as a stray with his lady friend Harlow. When we contacted their owner he advised he no longer wanted them and would not be in to collect. Now their impound period has come to an end & Loki is ready to find his new loving family. We were originally going to be adopting Loki & Harlow as a bonded pair but we have just found out that Harlow is pregnant so she will be staying with us during this time.
Since being at the facility we have noticed how much Loki loves his human friends. He can get overly excited and try to jump up for a cuddle, so we are recommending a home with no small children as he may accidentally knock them over, however he has previously lived with children in the home. Loki is a very sweet boy who is desperate for a loving family.
It seems that Loki has had limited exposure to other dogs. During our testing he did not like other male dogs, but was quite friendly to smaller females. He has lived with Harlow and another male puppy. There is a potential for him to be suitable to live with a smaller female dog, or he can be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Loki appears to have prey drive with smaller pets, so he will need a home with no cats or pocket pets.
Unfortunately it seems that Loki has had very little training, so he will need a dedicated owner willing to start from the basics with him.
When Loki is separated from Harlow he has shown signs of separation anxiety. While they were still housed together they could be fed next to each other without issues. He has no food aggression towards humans as well.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Loki will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Loki's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Loki is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Loki is looking forward to meeting you and he is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
