About Poppy 🩷🎀
Poppy is jaw-droppingly beautiful!! She is gorgeous inside and out.
Poppy is a blonde Groodle with a lot of love to give.
This girl has had a very hard start to life and was rescued from a backyard breeder. When she came to us, she was absolutely terrified and we knew it would take a long time to rehabilitate her. She knew nothing about the world. Her amazing foster carer has had to teach her and guide her through.
Poppy is now showing joy and happiness and it’s so much fun to watch her get the zoomies. Her foster brother, a poodle called Ollie has really helped her come out of her shell. They play and pounce and it’s awesome to see.
Poppy adores her foster mum and has developed a lovely bond, so we know she will make a fantastic best friend to her new pawrent(s).
She loves to lounge about in her comfy bed and is also very partial to snoozing on her foster mum’s bed too!! She is loving her new life.
She is learning to walk on a lead and she mostly really enjoys short walks. The outside world is still scary for her but she’s improving. Toys are a very new thing for Poppy and it’s taking her some time to grasp the concept of play. In saying this, she loves to pounce and play and be silly. Toys and unfamiliar objects will just take longer for her to get used to.
Because of her past, Poppy is going to need an extremely patient, caring and supportive adopter. We will support you through the adoption and afterwards, but Poppy will need a very committed adopter who is passionate about helping this beautiful girl settle in and navigate life. Poppy will take time to settle into her new home, she has experienced a lot of trauma and fear in her short life.
A quiet home is a must for Poppy, and we believe she will thrive in a home without children. A friendly dog would be great for Poppy, as she loves her foster brother.
Helping a pooch like Poppy is an incredibly rewarding thing to do, and the bond created between you will be beautiful. With time, patience, lots of love and compassion, this beautiful girl will blossom and gain confidence in herself and the world she lives in.
If you have the time, patience, passion and commitment to adopt Poppy and give her a life she deserves, please apply for this absolute beauty!!
Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
