About Lux
Please let us take this moment to introduce you to the gorgeous Lux - Lux is a whole lot of love and affection in a very little package!
Lux is a 1.9kg Chihuahua x Pomeranian
Lux is 4 years and 2 months old and is just chillaxing with his foster mum waiting for his chance to find his forever family.
Lux has come into care and has been introduced to a wide variety of dogs (all of course larger then him) Lux has that amazing sort of personality where he gets along with every dog he meets, however if they are too much in his face or jumping on him he will give a little growl to them to say back off. Lux also likes to give a little grumble if one of the big breed dogs is in his way and he has to walk around ...... he likes to bluff his way thru life!
Lux has not been tested on cats but would probably also think they are okay as well.
Lux has lived with kids of all ages and has been fine however would prefer not to be picked up by young kids who could accidentally drop him.
Lux has lovely manners and just loves to spend time with his foster family. Lux has lovely manners around the house and is toilet trained.
Lux has come into care and had his vet work completed, including dental (22 teeth removed) and wow now Lux loves life and eating!
Lux enjoys having some outside time but is a dog that very much likes having access to inside 24/7.
Lux loves nothing more than hanging out with his family however if you did leave him home alone for periods he will be fine as well. Please note he will remember every hour you have been away and expect you to make up the cuddles when you get home.
Lux loves to have multiple spots in the house to sleep – always his choosing and especially couches and dogs beds are his favorite spots – Lux loves the small fluffy circle dog beds as he can burrow himself in deep.
Lux also loves to go for a walk (obviously no marathons but a social walk is enjoyed) and loves car rides - he loves to look out the window so a booster seat would be needed :-)
Lux has a lot of love to give, and any family would be lucky to have him part of their lives

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
