About Furgus
In a world of whispers, where the golden sun meets the verdant earth, there roams a prince of fur named Fergus, a ginger tabby of mirth.
With a coat spun of flame, and eyes that gleam like emerald stars, he dances through each day, leaving behind no scars.
Fergus, a lad of just a year, yet brimming with tales untold, seeks a home where love unfurls, where warmth and safety mold.
From scrubs rough and wild, he's tread a path with valiant stride, now yearning for gentle hands, where fears and doubts can hide.
A feline soul with energy unbound, he bounds with grace and glee, amidst other cats, he finds his place, a realm of harmony.
For children six and older, a kinship he'd gladly share, seeking respect in playful jest, finding joy beyond compare.
To meet them first, a gracious wish, to ensure hearts align, before whiskers brush and paws embrace, in a home divine.
So if in your hearth and home, there's room for this prince so fair, Fergus awaits with dreams unfurled, a love beyond compare.
To book a meet and greet with Fergus please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
