Chill, cuddly & a big softy...

Open to meet kids (any age)
Suitable for part-time or WFH people
Best as only dog (for now)
Mellow & chill
Approx. 26.9kg
An easy-going and guy that is equal parts mellow and marvellous!
About: Friendly and happy by nature, Stallone is a smart and confident boy, perfect for both first-time dog owners and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
Stallone is the Zen master of the doggy world with a laid-back vibe and a relaxed attitude. This chill dude is all about going with the flow. In equal measure he is both agreeable & independent.
Ideal Home: His adaptable nature makes him a versatile fit for any household, especially those who lead an active and outdoorsy lifestyle.
Stallone would thrive in a home with ample space to roam, whether it be a house or farm with a medium to large yard and secure fencing.
While he loves spending time with people, it’s important for Stallone to have access to inside the home so that he can feel like party of the family.
Family: With Stallone's affectionate nature he's totally cool with kids of all ages, but it's important to note that he can be a bit spooked by sudden movements, so he might need a sec to adjust to jumble of living with kids. But hey, who doesn't need a little time to warm up to new things, right?
He’d be suitable to live with people who work part time or from home.
Furry Friends: Stallone might be a bit of a lone wolf, his lack of socialisation in his previous home is evident which means that he's currently best suited to be the only dog in the home for now as he works on developing his social skills.
He has potential to be dog social & we are committed to supporting him on this journey.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Stallone would go living with or meeting cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the direction of his new owners.
Training & Development: Post-adoption training, such as at home to cover your basics & group classes to further enhance his social skills and overall well-being will benefit Stallone.
Stallone's already got some tricks up his sleeve too! He might be a little rusty on his name, but he's a pro at "sit," "shake," and "come". Plus, he's got a knack for responding to whistles like a furry little maestro.
And can we talk about treats for a sec? This guy is all about the snacks, especially if they involve devon! Although he's still learning to take them gently.
Though he may need a bit more socialisation and desensitisation, Stallone shows promise for outings to dog-friendly cafes or social settings.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: To keep both his body and mind in tip top shape, Stallone would benefit from exercise or playtime daily ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
While he walks well on a leash, he may pull a bit and is best walked with a martingale and lead.
When it comes to toys, Stallone's motto is: humans over toys any day! He'd much rather soak up all the attention and affection you can muster, making him the ultimate cuddle buddy for Netflix marathons or lazy Sunday mornings.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
