About Patrick
*Please note Patrick is only available for meet and greets Monday to Friday*
Check out this absolute stunner!
Patrick is affectionate, boisterous and just a little bit goofy. Like most teenagers, this boy has so much to learn but is a bundle of energy just looking for the right kind of guidance!
His favourite activities are playing fetch, throwing around any toy that had a squeaker in it and going on quiet walks where he can sniff to his hearts content.
He'd be best suited to an adults only household as this bouncy boy lacks a little confidence with unfamiliar people. Honestly, we believe he thinks of himself as a little lap dog. With time, and on going training and positive reinforcement he will become the confient boy we know he can be.
He's shown some friendly social cues with other dogs but at this stage is still building his social skills, he could potentially go home with another well socialised, tolerant dog to learn from. A playful, happy dog would make a good companion for Mercury - if you have one, please bring them in for a meet and greet!
He'll need new owner's willing to continue to help with his on going training and socialisation. He will also be a very active dog so will need lots of exercise and will also need a spacious home with a big backyard to burn off some big puppy energy (of course, also always welcomed inside too as part of the family!)
He's a happy and wiggly boy who's still learning how to walk on lead so will need some getting use to with that, we recommend using a balance harness on walks to help with this.
If you're interested in adopting him come on down to our North Melb shelter.
