About Penny
If you're looking for a playful companion with an enormous love for life, then meet Penny, a gorgeous calico with a heart of gold. Brimming with personality, Penny is just as adventurous as she is darling - a real sweetheart who quickly captures the hearts of anyone who meets her.
Penny has a beautiful calico coat that adds a touch of mystery to her charm. You'll be mesmerized by the cute white paws and the two distinctive orange spots on her back.
Penny's three favorite things give you a glimpse into her personality. She enjoys playtime with other cats and dogs, always the first to initiate a game and the last to quit. She has a keen interest in her meals, often the first one at dinner time. When she is not playing or having a meal, you will find her seeking affection from her favorite humans.
Penny favours the open expanse of the living room, where she usually amuses herself by playing non-stop with her favorite four-legged mates. After all that activity, she goes undercover for a cozy rest under the lounge. And when it's time to interact with humans, she's always delightful. Announce your arrival by calling her name and she'll eagerly come running to you. And with her affectionate demeanour, she gets along very well with children.
As a social butterfly, Penny gets along effortlessly with dogs and cats alike. She loves engaging in playful activities with them, often chasing them around the house or engaging in a good-natured wrestling match.
Penny will be flexible to her new family's lifestyle. She would be a perfect match for any home with a warm, inviting environment. She is swiftly adapting to her foster home in Lithgow, revealing just how versatile she can be. It's hardly surprising, as she's a kitten with a spirit as playful as it is adaptable!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
