About Boola
Boola is a young, fun, social and silly boy who is eager to take on the world!
Boola’s story began in Fiji as a street dog, not an ideal life at all eating scraps and living day to day without love and care. He crossed paths with Australian traveling who took pity on him and decided to at great expense bring him back to Australia (and we do mean great expense). He went through all his vet work, the stress of an international flight, then Australian entry quarantine only to find……he wasn’t working out in her home and we were asked to step in.
What makes up Boola's breed is anyones guess, some say kelpie, some say whippet, we say Fijian Street Special! We do however know for sure that he is long, lean and spritely!
At first Boola was stressed and nervous however after a few weeks in a stable home, Boola has proven to be a resilient and social boy who absolutely loves to play with dogs and cuddle up with his human pals. He enjoys tug and interactive games, is comfortable when left at home alone and is crate trained.
Boola has learnt so much since coming into care and is so eager to learn more, he is active and enjoys a good sniffari or even a trip to the dog park and would be a good candidate for a sport like noseworks or even agility.
MY IDEAL HOME: Boola is looking for a calm home with humans that will love him unconditionally and would benefit from a family that have a fairly predictable routine. He requires some understanding that his life thus far has been anything but 'the norm' ... and he will need calm, gentle exposure to new experiences, places and people however the good news is that Boola has a healthy curiosity to life!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Boola is a young spritely boy that requires daily exercise but provided give him a good outlet for his energy, he is relaxed and cuddly at home.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Boola has been okay with meeting calm children out and about, however due to his lack of exposure and occasional tendency to guard things, he is best in a home with teens and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Boola is very social with dogs, he is best with dogs that are calm or cheeky and playful, he doesn't appreciate dogs that are overly pushy. He currently lives in a multi dog household. He is not suited to a home with cats.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
