About Kiwi
Kiwi is a super fun, she is super sweet and she a dash of sass to keep you on your toes!
Her striking features garner lots of attention but her personality is just as incredible. Kiwi is a bright, inquisitive and confident puppy, she very quickly made herself comfortable in a busy multi dog household and is a nice mix of independent and engaged.
She loves to play tug more than anything in the world, she is energetic and always keen on an adventure, travels well in the car and is crate trained. We don't suspect Kiwi will grow to be a large girl but what she is crossed with is anyones guess. Kiwi is currently working on walking on leash and housetraining and both are going well, she is incredibly switched on and keen to learn new tricks.
Kiwi really loves a snuggle and when she is in the mood, there is no stopping her from climbing onto your lap, where she nuzzles in and goes straight to sleep. She is truly a wonderful little pup!
MY IDEAL HOME: Kiwi would suit a family who are active and adventurous, she could be the only dog in the home or share with another confident dog. She would greatly benefit from ongoing training and would be an ideal candidate for a sport like GRC.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kiwi is pretty active and keen to keep busy however she also has a good off switch and can relax when it's time to settle down and take a rest. She will require daily walks and play.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Whilst she hasn't spent a lot of time around children, she would be okay with dog savvy kids 7 and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Kiwi currently lives in a home with dogs big and small, she can be a little overbearing for the chihuahua she currently resides with, although she is learning but could share a home with med / large size dogs. Due to her rough start, she does tend to resource guard food and needs to be feed separately from other animals. She has met a few cats and finds them particularly fun to chase, whilst she could learn to co-exist she's likely best in a cat free home.

For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
