About Sponge
Sponge
Meet Sponge, an 11 year old calico x torti. Sponge is currently working hard at her weight loss journey so she can jump up onto beds more easily and take some nice long naps! She is best friends with the sun and will follow its light throughout the day to cozy up. Sponge loves asking for company while she eats and loves a good water fountain! Due to her weight, Sponge has some trouble grooming herself but she LOVES getting brushed and will purr throughout the entire groom. She also enjoys meeting new people and will accept pets from just about anyone! When she needs her alone time, she’ll find a comfy spot behind a couch or under a bed for her naps instead.
A day in Sponge’s life consists of napping, taking in the nice views, asking for company as she snacks, sun-stalking, and maybe some more napping.
Sponge would thrive in a home where she is an only cat and where she can find a spot in front of a large window for a nice long nap.
Sponge is on a weight loss journey, and it's important for her future family to support her in this endeavor. The goal is to lose 2kg for optimal health, so Sponge needs a companion who can provide the necessary diet and a small amount of daily exercise. Don't worry, Sponge doesn't demand anything too strenuous – a gentle play session with her favourite toy will suffice!
Note: Sponge is not a fan of other cats and is looking for a solo home, she has not been tested with dogs.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
