About Hippo
Meet Hippo, the adorable one-year-old ginger cat who's as sweet as can be! With his fluffy coat and loving nature, Hippo is the cuddliest companion you could ask for. He's like a little ball of sunshine, spreading joy wherever he goes.
Hippo is not just your average feline; he's a social butterfly who gets along famously with other cats. In fact, he dreams of having a feline friend to snuggle up with and share his cozy nap times. His gentle demeanor makes him a perfect match for any kitty looking for a companion.
But it's not just cats that Hippo adores; he's also fantastic with children of all ages. He simply asks for the chance to meet them first, so he can shower them with his affectionate purrs and head bumps. With his kind heart and playful spirit, Hippo is sure to steal the hearts of everyone he meets.
And let's not forget his stunning looks! With his ginger fur and big, expressive eyes, Hippo is a true beauty. He's like a little prince, ruling over his kingdom with grace and charm.
If you're searching for a furry friend who will fill your home with love and laughter, look no further than Hippo. This little guy is ready to bring joy and happiness into your life, one snuggle at a time!
To book a meet and greet with Hippo please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
