About Scout - 9 Week Old Rottweiler X (Trial)
Scout is a 9 week old male Rottweiler cross German Shepherd puppy.
Scout is a playful, sweet natured puppy with cuteness overload and is bound to steal your heart. He loves pats and cuddles and to be close to you. Scout is very loyal and playful and is full of puppy energy, loves his toys and furry companions. He will keep you entertained for hours on end with his goofy nature.
Scout is very intelligent and a quick learner. He already uses the doggy door with ease and is learning to sit and raise his paw. Scout sleeps through the night in his crate and is making progress with toilet training. An owner willing to commit to ongoing training with Scout will ensure that he has the best start to life.
Scout is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He is friendly with dogs. He shares his foster home with another puppy and medium sized dog as well as a cat and isn’t bothered by the cat. Scout is also very friendly with people.
Scout will grow up to be a medium to large dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Scout. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time until Scout is older.
Scout needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside with his family. He will be a wonderful and loyal family dog and is suitable for children over 5 years old. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Scout’s sibling, Arlo, is also available for adoption.
Scout’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Scout is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
