About Liza SUA012254
Meet Liza, a beautiful girl who's incredibly gentle. Her early life experiences have made her quieter than most felines her age, but with patience, love, and time, you will get to see Liza blossom into an incredibly affectionate companion.
Liza still retains her catlike curiosity and sweet spirit despite her shy disposition. She is very hesitant when it comes to back scratches, but chin and head scratches are much welcomed. She might need a little convincing at first, but as you two forge a unique bond, she'll come to trust and cherish your loving touch.
Her ideal home would certainly include another confident yet friendly feline. Having another cat to look up to and model their behaviour would go a long way to helping Liza adjust and fully trust again.
She cherishes the quiet, so getting along best with adults in a silent house would be a perfect setting for her. A home without children and dogs would be ideal for her restful spirit.
Liza is not only looking for an owner; she's seeking a true companion – someone dedicated and patient enough to love her unconditionally and help her discover the comforting sense of security she longs for.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
