Meet Rusty! 🐕
PERSONALITY:
I like to think of myself as an all-rounder. Whether it's playtime in the yard, cuddling on the couch, or going for long walks, I'm up for it all! At first, I might be a bit shy, but once I warm up to you, I'm as sweet as can be. My foster family can attest to that—I've formed such a strong bond with them, and I absolutely adore being a part of their lives.
I'm a versatile pup with a range of interests. I love nothing more than spending quality time with my humans, whether it's engaging in fun activities or simply lounging around together. I also enjoy exploring the great outdoors, sniffing out new scents and experiencing all the wonders the world has to offer.
TRAINING: (sleep, toilet, crate training, commands/tricks, leash walking?)
Rusty is a bright and eager Border Collie, with dedication and consistency, Rusty can quickly master essential skills such as house training, recalling when whistled, leash walking, and basic commands. Through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance, Rusty's training will not only foster a strong bond between him and his family but also ensure his safety and happiness in his forever home.
PERFECT HOME: (are they tested on children, other dogs & animals, level of exercise, acerage/suburbia, need another dog?)
I get along famously with individuals of all ages, from the toddlers to seniors. I'm patient and gentle with little ones, making me an ideal companion for families seeking a furry friend for their kids to grow up alongside.
Having a dog like me in the family can strengthen bonds and create lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come. Whether it's taking me on family outings, participating in training sessions together, or simply enjoying quality time at home, I'm here to enhance your family's life in countless ways.
As a Border Collie, I thrive on mental and physical stimulation. Daily exercise and enrichment activities are essential to keeping me happy and healthy. A fenced yard where I can run and play safely would be ideal, but I'm also open to going on adventures with my humans to explore new places and burn off some energy.

~As a working breed I will need lots of mental & physical stimulation. How to do
plan to meet those needs?
~ Have you done any training with other dogs? If so what training have you and
your previous/current dog completed?
~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits & raw, can you
guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?
