About Liah
Meet Liah the 4 year old Maremma.
Liah is anything but your typical Maremma and is often referred to as the Golden Retriever in Maremma clothing. Prior to coming in to care, Liah lived a rather urban lifestyle and has been exposed to lots of sites and smells. She is not your typical standoffish Maremma and doesn't display any of the typical guard dog traits. That being said she would still be happier in a home with a bigger backyard and daily walks.
Whilst in care Liah has been exposed to big and small dogs, puppies and older dogs of both male and female and is unphased by either. She could live in a home with a second dog but would also be happy as an only child as long as she got daily exercise and attention to feel apart of the family.
Liah has all basic obedience down pat with a few special party tricks like shaking hands thrown in and walks well both on and off leash. She is they type of dog that thinks with her stomach and will do anything for a treat. Liah is a fairly low-energy dog and will spend most of the day lounging around as long as she gets a good solid walk-in.
Liah has also been exposed to cattle, sheep and chickens and shows no interest in chasing but is also far removed from being a working maremma.
Liah is a beautiful affectionate girl with people of all shapes sizes and ages, if you think she is right for you please apply.
**Liah is located in Vic...
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
