About Kobe
Meet Kobe, a Labrador cross with a lovable spirit who's seeking his new family. Being just a year old, this sweet young boy is filled with joy and curiosity that he can't wait to share with you.
Kobe is a sweet and loving boy with a charming demeanour. Though he may need some lead training, he does well on a lead and tolerates a collar quite comfortably. Despite some darting from side to side initially, a consistent and patient teacher will have him walking alongside you perfectly in no time.
Kobe's love for treats is unflinching, and he will happily sit for a biscuit when asked, which will surely make future training endeavors wonderfully rewarding. Having a firm favourite like treats is a surefire way to engage him and help him with new commands or routines.
When it comes to canine friends, Kobe is a selective socializer. He bonds well with calm, gentle dogs but may feel a bit on edge around his more boisterous counterparts. His preference towards tranquility extends to other species as well, and he is rather shy when it comes to cats. Therefore, he would be happiest in a household without cats and excitable dogs.
In his leisure hours, this gentle boy enjoys watching the world go by from the comfort of his bed, interspersed with bouts of playfulness. Like most dogs, he may occasionally join in the chorus when other dogs are barking but is quick to settle. His barking can be a bit much when left alone at first, but with some time and patience, he adapts impressively and calms down.
While Kobe hasn't yet been trained in recall, his eagerness to please, combined with his love for treats, proves promising for easy training.
In summary, Kobe is a light-hearted spirit seeking a welcoming shelter and a patient family that will cater to his development needs. If you are prepared to dedicate time and patience, then Kobe will reward you with a lifetime of love and companionship. Secure him into your world, and watch as he fills it with pure joy.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
