Introducing Maxie! This lively and delightful Long haired chihuahua mix is an eight-year-old male, weighing in at approximately 5kgs. He has all his health requirements sorted, so all he needs now is an ideal new family to share his joy and shy but playful ways .
Maxie is a shy boy, comfortable around other dogs and tolerates cats well. He's also child-friendly, as long as they are calm
And gentle, but ideally he would suit an older person or couple who are home a lot and ok with him living inside, as this is his safe space. Maxie delights in being the apple of your eye and best companion, which warms the hearts of everyone who meets him.
Maxie's ideal home would be one with a fully enclosed garden. He loves exploring the yard, feeling secure in flights of fancy, chasing leaves and basking in the sun. He is the type of dog who would benefit from some green grass underneath his paws and the opportunity to frolic freely yet safely in his own space. But living and sleeping inside .
Come and meet Maxie today at our Red Hill location. You might just find that he’s the small and dynamic furry friend you've been seeking. With an adoption fee of $695, Maxie was been well taken care of and ready to start his new life. This pooch embodies the very best of the chihuahua breed, mixing great charm, affection and energy in one small, furry package. So why wait? Come get to know Maxie today. Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
