About Benimaru
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Benimaru sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Meet Benimaru, an inquisitive and playful feline who is brimming with wit and curiosity. Benimaru is active, independent, and adventurous, making him the perfect companion for people who appreciate a cat with a lively spirit.
Known for having a penchant for ball toys, stick/string toys, and the thrill of lounging in high spots, Benimaru finds joy in life's little things. He brings a unique charm with his adorable quirks, such as diving under couches and cabinets while chasing balls, being an expert insect catcher, and, surprisingly, enjoying small pieces of ice. His oddly flexible posture, TV watching hobby (especially fond of anime), and playful habit of getting into open drawers will keep you entertained. Not to mention his cute little fascination for chewing on cardboard!
As an indoor cat, a typical day for Benimaru starts with a polite request for breakfast followed by a leisurely wait for a piece of ice from your iced coffee. He keeps active throughout the day with a wide range of pastimes, including playtime, bird-watching, and frequent small meals. At night, if he has had a lazy day, he might decide to release some energy in a round of zoomies.
Though not overly keen on being picked up, this charismatic cat expresses affection by tolerating pats, especially around his neck and head, and will often seek company to enjoy a nap alongside you. Toy jingles and the sound of the freezer opening for his ice treat get him excited. He also gets thrilled when it's mealtime, that's usually when you can hear his soft, endearing meow.
Benimaru will best suit an active, adult-only, indoor household where his playful and independent nature will be appreciated. While he has never lived with small children, he has coexisted peacefully with other cats and a small dog. However, Beni is very interested in house plants, so prospective families need to consider pet-safe plants and secure dirt and stones.
Litter trained and preferring nothing less than a clean litter box, Benimaru uses wood pellets and appreciates having at least two litter boxes available.
If you are seeking a kittenish cat who will make your daily routine a little more bright and a lot more interesting, Benimaru might be the one for you! His cute behaviors and peculiar ways will not fail to bring a smile to your face. He is truly a one-of-a-kind, playful fur friend!
Benimaru's companion Denji is also available for adoption. If you're considering a friend for Benimaru, then look no further. This pair already know each other's quirks and get along so well.

Medical notes
Benimaru requires a specific urinary/digestive health diet due to experiencing bladder crystals. He gets 1 x Royal Canin Urinary S/O wet food pouch per day (spaced across 2 meals) with extra water added to help with dehydration and Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dry food (to aid hairballs since he has longer fur and this also has properties to aid in reducing crystals).

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
Home2Home currently operates a pay-what-you-can system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose the adoption fee amount that is most suitable for their situation. The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
