About Bao - Located in Northcote
Hey there, fellow humans and furry friends! I'm Bao, the fabulous feline sensation that's taking this foster home by storm. Picture this: a sleek grey tabby with the most divine stripes you've ever laid eyes on. Yep, that's me, the epitome of kitty coolness.
Life here is an endless adventure, let me tell you. With my Mum, my sisters, and a whole crew of cool cats, plus a bunch of noisy but lovable kids, there's never a dull moment. We're like a purrfectly dysfunctional family, always up to mischief and shenanigans.
I've got this whole snooze game down to an art form. I mean, a cat's gotta get their beauty sleep, right? But when I'm awake, watch out! I'm a blur of lightning-fast energy, zipping around like a tiny tornado of mischief. Chasing my sisters, pouncing on unsuspecting toys, and generally causing chaos wherever I go.
Oh, and let's talk about cheekiness. I've got it in spades. Life's too short to be serious all the time.
So if you're looking for a bundle of furry fun to liven up your days, look no further. I'm Bao, the cheekiest, most charming tabby you'll ever meet. Let the adventures begin!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
