About Vampurra
Vampurra (Vampy for short) had a sad start to life as a three week old solo orphan. From a young age he was on high alert and didn't ever seem to sleep. He also thought humans were his mother and that biting their hands and legs would be fun and also produce food. He really didn't know how to "kitten". Fortunately he gained a confident foster sister, Vespa, who came from a litter of 8 kittens and knew all the rules. She has taught him a lot and they have bonded as play and wrestling buddies.
Vampurra has grown into the most sleek, beautiful, relaxed, smoochy, curious and beautiful tween kitten who loves to sleep on your lap or perch high on a pile of cushions like a fancy prince. Even better, if you put a cushion on your lap he gets to do both at the same time! He has the best purr and throws himself around with wild abandonment at playtime. He also has a big fascination with water, even though he doesn't like getting wet. If you leave the bathroom door open he'll immediately be in the bath, basin, toilet (!!!), shower checking out this magical substance. Yes he has fallen into a full bath and the toilet bowl on a couple of occasions due to his water obsession. All up he is very curious and if something is a bit unusual he will cock his head to the side while trying to figure it out.
Now because he had a bit too much alone time as a kitten (you can read about single kitten syndrome) he does still have a tendency to bite hands and legs at times. He's not an aggressive cat and he never attacks faces - he just thinks it is a fun game to give little nips but he wouldn't be the best choice for small kids. His biting can be kept to a minimum by feeding him or playing with him when he gets a bit hungry/bored and by pairing him with another cat (like his foster sister Vespa!) who loves to wrestle and remind him that biting can hurt and is a bit rude. He really is an adorable little munchkin who will quickly win your heart despite his small faults.
Vampurra has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and will be receiving his flea/worm treatment any day now (all included in adoption fee).
