About Doug - 6 Month Old Beaglier (Trial)
Doug is a 6 month old male Beaglier puppy. He is very keen to meet his forever family.
Doug has been learning new tricks like down and sit, but still gets excited like any dog would when you get home. Doug is toilet trained and has not had any inside accidents. Doug is still learning to walk on the lead, but with proper training and puppy school, we think Doug would excel in this!
Doug is a very healthy puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's only met a few people but is friendly and affectionate with them after a little while.
Doug will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Doug. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Doug needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 5 years and older as he still jumps and would knock over a little one. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Doug is tested with a cat and friendly towards her but also gives her, her own space.
Doug’s siblings Watson and Basil are also available for adoption.
Doug's adoption fee is $1000 which includes his desexing which will happen before adoption. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Doug is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. However Doug will be getting desexed mid March.
