About Cobo
Re-Introducing Cobo!
Cobo is an American Staffy x born 1st April 2023.
Beautiful Cobo was brought in to the facility as a stray & when we contacted his owner she gave us a whole bunch of reasons why she couldn't take him back and she came in to surrender him for euthanasia. We found out that these excuses were highly exaggerated and almost cost Cobo his life.
Cobo is now safe & has been in foster care with our wonderful volunteer Pete for approx 2 months.
Pete has sent us a profile of how Cobo is in a home environment;
Cobo has been incredibly friendly when meeting new people & he's loved everyone he's met so far (they all say he's adorable as well). I haven't seen him with children, but he may be too excitable for them.
There are no signs of separation anxiety, while I'm away he's usually napping or playing with a toy or his plushie.
When we're at home, he spends most of the time napping (and occasionally decides it's playtime). Cobo has learnt so much & come so far. He's now walking on a loose lead, he's house trained, can "sit" & "shake" and absolutely adores his car rides to Bunnings.
Cobo has met several dogs while out on walks & on his trips to Bunnings & he gets along great with them. Cobo would be suitable to live with other dogs, or he can be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Cobo has tried to introduce himself to & play with some local cats in the neighbourhood, but has been sent running with his tail between his legs when he receives a slap to the face from them. We believe Cobo would be suitable to live with cats at home, if given a slow & controlled introduction.
Cobo is untested with pocket pets at this time.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Cobo will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Cobo's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Cobo is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.
To enquire more or to meet Cobo, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Cobo is looking forward to meeting you and he is currently in foster care in the Maitland area.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
