Laguna is a staffy x kelpie pup. She is just wonderful, at a young age she doesn’t mouth and is a very smart lady. She’s toilet trained as long as you show her where to go and is a snuggle-bug but also loves adventures and would be a great hiking/running companion.

She does have a high prey-drive which must come from her kelpie side so no cats or small animals for her. She does need the companionship of another dog and will play lots. She will be medium sized, at a guess around 20kg fully grown.

Laguna will benefit greatly from obedience training, she also need confidence some building. She loves everyone and anyone and always wants to say “hello” but is not sure how to so she barks, which is not always conducive to meeting people and dogs. She’s great on the lead and currently walks on a harness. Laguna is a delight who will provide loads of cuddles and loyalty to her new family.

Laguna broke one of her hind legs when she was just a young puppy (7 weeks old) and one of the growth plates was shattered. This will require monitoring until she’s fully grown which involves getting x-rays every couple of months until she’s around 1 year old (or as recommended by the orthopedic specialist), at the Yarra Ranges Vet Hospital with our orthopedic specialist. Starting Over Dog Rescue will pay for this monitoring and any potential surgery that may result. At this point Laguna is a normal puppy with the typical energy and needs of a young pup, and is enjoying her life to the fullest.
