Hi there I’m Nyx and I’m looking for my forever home.
About me: I’m busy, sassy and confident and more likely to run towards a loud noise to check what it is than hide under a table. I’d love to play more with my big foster fur siblings. They tell me off a bit, but that doesn’t bother me at all. When I grow up I think I would like to be the boss dog. My sister is fun and we race around and wrestle. I’ve been told I am a bit rough and need to stop biting her so hard that she cries.
I love love love water! When I was a baby I used to fall asleep in my water bowl but now I jump in and splash until it’s empty. Lucky my foster mum got me a shell pool so I can jump in and out all day and not run out of water to drink.
My coat is super soft and I have lovely chest and paw markings. It’s easy to spot me in a crowd as my stumpy ½ tail sticks straight up.
Did I mention how smart I am? Sit and drop – nailed it in a couple of short lessons. I also listen really well and come at full pelt when called. Fetch is fun, but I’m still learning all the rules. I also settle well in my crate and am more than happy to hang there for a while (particularly with a tasty treat).
Not sure who my mum and dad were but I definitely have some working dog traits. I practice my herding by running back and forth in front of humans when they walk and I am an expert at nipping heels – both human and dog. I reckon I could give those TV Muster Dogs some tips.
About you: Active and keen to take me on adventures, especially places with water. Willing to hang out with me as much as possible and provide plenty of fun activities to keep me amused when you are out. Being alone and bored for long periods is not good for me. A doggie sibling would be great provided they don’t mind being bossed, but playdates are also fine. I really want an education to help me reach my full potential so you need to take me to puppy school – bonus points if you are keen to explore higher education and dog sports with me.
Nyx is $400 + $100 desex bond* to adopt and comes microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
*Desex bond will be refunded once pup is desexed at one of our nominated vets at the appropriate age. It is a non-negotiable conditions of adoption that pups are desexed prior to 8 months of age, unless otherwise approved by NQAR.
