About Miss Roxy
Wow this girl is exquisite
Beautiful, petite, polite and loving
Introducing Miss Roxy, a stunning 1 year old Jack Russell Terrier weighing just 5kg who is looking for her forever home.
Roxy’s favourite thing to do is meeting new people, in fact we don’t think she has met anyone she didn’t like. She is not very interested in toys or balls but her little tail goes into overdrive when she sees people in the street.
She loves men, women and children all the same. She loves to climb onto her Foster carers lap and be her shadow. She definitely is a little one that will shower you with lots of love.she's definitely a true sweetie
Roxy doesn’t appear to have had much training although she is toilet trained. She is improving when asked to sit before receiving her dinner but will need ongoing training. She is learning to walk on the lead without wandering from side to side however she does not pull.
Roxy loves other dogs and is looking to play with them.
She is a terrier so will search out rodents ect so does have a high prey drive so will need a home with secure fencing or she will follow her nose to do what's natural for her
Roxy much prefers having company. She has been left inside without a problem and she has also been left alone outside however she needs good fences and no space where she can squeeze under as she is very tiny and can squeeze through little holes and will go exploring
Roxy definitely does not like loud noises - trains, ceiling fans. helicopters and loud cars and trucks are quite challenging for her. A pat and reassuring words help her when she is concerned with loud noises. She will need work on continuing her exposure to increase her confidence around these things, she’s young enough to learn
She has an easy care for short coats. A weekly brush will be adequate to keep her coat healthy
Roxy has been sleeping on her foster carer's bed from 10.30 pm to 7.30 am and rarely needs to go outside in the middle of the night.
She’s a snuggly smoochy girl
Roxy travels well in the car however she does suffer from motion sickness even if traveling on an empty stomach.
She is learning to love her daily walk of about 30 - 45 minutes. At first she was quite reluctant to even go out the front door however she is now very keen to go.
Roxy is very quiet and clean in the home and rarely barks. She has not shown any destructive traits. She is polite and well mannered
Roxy’s ideal home would be one where she is loved and inside when her family are home
She has been fostered with just one person however she would also flourish in a family home where she is part of the family and included in activities and a compatible doggy companion would be the icing on the cake.

A home that will allow her to be an inside and outside girl
