Meet Rainbow
Age: 10 weeks
Sex: Female
Breed: Mum is a German Shepherd – we think she may have some Kelpie in her, we have no idea what dad was as mum was found as stray and was already pregnant.
Size: Medium to Large – these pups will grow into large breed adults
These pups have been raised in a loving home and have known only kindness; they are confident, curious pups that love to get into everything. The puppies have been exposed to a variety of different people and dogs and are very social.
Requirements:
- Must be allowed to sleep indoors, even as adults
- Must attend puppy school for socialisation
- Secure Fencing
- Commitment to ongoing socialisation and training
- Active Lifestyle
Health:
Puppies will be de-sexed once they reach 6 months old – included as part of their adoption fee.
Puppies have received x2 vaccinations, have been wormed, microchipped and health checked, they will receive 1 more vaccination at 14-16 weeks old included as part of their adoption fee.
It is impossible to have their hips and elbows x-rayed and checked at this age as their joints are not yet fully formed. Mum has not been x-rayed.
GSRV Policies:
- We do not operate on a “First in, best dressed” approach – we carefully match our dogs and puppies based on suitability and finding the best possible homes for our pups.
- We do not rehome female pups or dogs into homes with an existing female dog.
- Whilst some breeds of dogs are suited to apartment living, generally German Shepherds are not, our dogs must have access to their own separate yard, we do not rehome our dogs or pups into apartments.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
