About Ziggy
Meet Ziggy, a strikingly handsome German Wire-haired Pointer crossed with a Border Collie/Poodle mix. This charming boy has the perfect blend of loyalty and independence, making him an ideal companion for families with older children.
Ziggy loves interacting with other dogs. His good-natured energy complements his gentle yet playful personality.
Ziggy relishes the company of his human friends, and he forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Whether you're working from home, enjoying some downtime, or entertaining guests, Ziggy is sure to be quietly supportive by your side.
Maintaining Ziggy's unique and distinguished coat will require regular grooming. This is a therapeutic process for Ziggy, as he truly enjoys these interactions. So, not only does grooming enhance his handsome looks, but it also deepens the companionship between Ziggy and his family.
Imagine the joy this charming boy can bring to your family, with his calm energy and love of learning new things. Ziggy doesn't just need a new family he deserves one that will treasure him.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: friendsofthepound.com/adoption-apply
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on the cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten. and 15-20 years for a puppy.
