Angel

Angel is an absolute gem who's been with us far too long and is ready to find her forever home. This sweet girl has shown incredible progress during her time on a behavioral plan at the shelter. Her dog social skills have significantly improved—though she still gets a bit excited when seeing other dogs, she’s now able to walk with them, coexist peacefully, and even play with some. With the right fit and a successful meet and greet, Angel could live with another dog!

Affectionate is an understatement when it comes to Angel. She adores people and just wants to be close to them—she’ll shower you with love and kisses. While she can be a bit shy around new strangers, meet and greets will be designed to help her feel comfortable, and with a little patience, she’ll warm up and reveal her truly sweet nature.

Angel’s been working on her basic obedience, including loose leash walking, recall, and other training exercises. She thrives outside the shelter environment but does pull a bit here due to the stress. A calm, supportive home where she can decompress and continue her training will do wonders for her.

This lovely girl is perfect for a family with dog-savvy kids, as her size means she might accidentally knock them over when she’s excited. She just needs a patient, understanding adopter who can give her the love and consistency she craves.
