About Miles STA011606
Say hello to Miles, a young guy with a heart full of love waiting to be shared! Initially, Miles is very nervous in new surroundings; however, all he needs is time and patience. In a few weeks, he will start exploring his new environment and make it his own.
Miles prefers to have all four paws firmly on the ground. He enjoys the independence of walking around his home, moving from room to room, and overseeing his domain.
Once he feels comfortable and secure in his new surroundings, Miles transforms into a tender and very affectionate guy. He thrives on attention and has an immense capacity to love.
What Miles loves most is being with his people, sharing in the simple, everyday moments. Whether you're reading a book, watching television, or working on your laptop, Miles enjoys sitting nearby, observing your activities with interest.
If patience, love, and a peaceful setting are what you have to offer, then Miles is the perfect fellow for your family. His initial shyness should not be mistaken for a lack of desire for companionship. Instead, it's a measure of the deep bond he forms when he feels safe and loved.
Miles is FIV+ so he will need an indoor only home to ensure the safety of other cats in the area.
From his foster home -
Miles has a lovely soft voice, is very food motivated and seems to enjoy toys without bells or noise (feather wands, ping pong balls, etc). He loves weaving around your legs while you work at your desk. He’s also incredibly affectionate - he loves face rubs, scratches and butt taps.
He’s doesn’t appear too concerned with loud noises - but would enjoy lots of hidey holes to retreat to during the day.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
