About Bunny
Looking for the perfect little family dog????
Meet beautiful Bunny the 10 kilo Jack Russell x English Staffy
Don't be fooled by her tiny legs and little body, this sweet 3 yr old is full of affection, personality and lovely temperament. Bunny is an easy going, happy-go-lucky and loving little dog who has easily settled into her foster family and become part of the furniture.
Bunny is drawn to people. She will seek you out for a pat or snuggle on your lap. She adores being inside with her humans, on the couch next to you, having pats and belly rubs, or snoozing. When she wakes in the morning, she will run to grab a toy and bring it to her foster mum or dad, howling in excitement and wagging her little butt! She runs to greet you when you return home, even if it’s only been 15 min, it's like you've been gone all day!In foster care, Bunny has been living with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. She has been around aged 5+ dog savvy kids and been fine.
She may give a little bark and be a little shy initially around new people but within 5 min she will be your new best friend
Bunny walks well on the lead and requires a walk once a day around 30 min - not too far as her little legs won't last!! She also enjoys the occasional run!
When she first came into foster care, Bunny was unsure what to do with toys and balls - but believe me, she has worked this out.
Bunny loves to play fetch, tug of war and bring you toys (like an offering to play!) She is still getting used to having treats like pig ears, unsure what to do with them but she is a fast learner
At night, Bunny goes easily into her crate (door open) in the laundry. While you may have to carry her in, once there, you won't hear a beep until she waits to be let out in the morning. On weekends Bunny loves a sleep in on her foster parents bed and her favourite spot is under the covers
Bunny has a short easy to care for coat
She is fully toilet trained.
She has enjoyed a bath with no issues
Bunny has been at home by herself 4 days of the week while her foster family is off at work/school while in care there has been no evidence of destruction to the back yard garden or furniture. She accesses the back yard via kitchen door so would benefit from a doggy door
Bunny loves going in the car!
She has done both short and long car trips and enjoys it immensely
Bunny is polite around the home
She can get a little excited when you get home but that soon settles
She is not destructive
She can sit, be "gentle" and "get down".
Bunny has been tested with a dog and initially was a little barky, not uncommon for small dogs. Once comfortable she’s happy to say hello and have a sniff but she’s way more interested in human company than other animals. On walks she can move between not caring or to a little yap. We feel she’s fine with slow introductions but she really prefers to be an only dog
We have not tested her with cats
A family home where she is allowed inside when her family are home
The bigger the family the better as she loves people .
