This sweet little lady Roxy joined us as a stray kitten, and has stunning green eyes. Affectionate, chatty and a little clumsy, Roxy is an entertaining goofball with a lot of love to give.
Roxy's favourite things are head scratches, hiding in a cat cave or cat tunnel, and plenty of meowing to tell you about her day
After being on the streets as a baby, Roxy gets nervous being picked up and put on laps, but with some patience and love she will happily curl up next to you on the couch.
Roxy is content being in her own space. When the bedroom is closed off at night Roxy is very calm and does not protest with meowing or scratching at the door.
Roxy's early life on the streets makes her easily spooked, and she will scuttle off to her cave when there's a noise she doesn't like. This is very amusing when she then realises you made the noise, and she pokes her head back out to tell you off.
Roxy adapted well to living with other cats and kittens and was comfortable around them in her first two weeks. Roxy can suit a house with another cat, but would also thrive as a single cat where she can really claim a space as her own.
Roxy has been a joy and her antics always make us giggle. She would make a wonderful addition to your home.
Adoption details
Before Adoption:
Before adopting a new pet, ensure all family members understand that a pet is an emotional and financial commitment that you need to be prepared to love, house and keep safe for the next 15 to 20 years. This means premium nutrition, preventative health care, regular veterinary check-ups and keeping them inside or only having access to a cat proof area or yard. Pet insurance with accident and illness cover gives you piece of mind knowing your pet can get the veterinary care they may need and you don’t have to worry about if the expense.
We start off by either emailing you our adoption questionnaire or having a chat on the phone to get some details about who you are and what you’re looking for in a feline companion. The next step is to organise a meet and greet. Depending on your location, we bring the feline/s to you or you can come and visit the orphanage. There is usually a 24-hour wait from the meet and greet to collecting your new family member so everyone has a night to think things over and so you have a chance to get your home repaired. If all goes well and everyone is happy, the adoption paperwork is signed and you collect your new family member.
All adoptions are subject to a two-week settling-in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, you are welcome to return them for a full refund of the adoption fee. All adoptions come with an adoption pack that contains all their certificates and paperwork, information on preventative health care, diet, pet insurance and potential toxins/poisons around the home.
