About Zelda - Located in Preston
Hello there, wonderful humans! I'm Zelda, the big, beautiful floof just waiting for the perfect safe space to let my "floof flag" flourish.
You'll often find me chilling in my cozy cave, observing the world around me with curious eyes. Compared to my BFF JD's outgoing nature, I tend to be a bit shyer. But here's the thing—give me some time, be patient, and let me approach you at my own pace, and you'll see a whole new side of me. They say I'm a slow burn, and boy, do I live up to that reputation. Once I've warmed up to you, get ready for some serious smooches—I've got plenty of love to give.
Now, let's talk about my ideal home. While I adore spending time with JD or another friendly feline companion, I do prefer a slow and gentle introduction. Once I know we're on the same page, I'm all for forming a purr-fectly harmonious bond. But hey, if it's just you and me against the world, I'm more than content with that too. In fact, a quiet home where I can grow and blossom into the floofiest, smoochiest girl you've ever met sounds like a dream come true.
So, if you're looking for a sweet and gentle soul to add some warmth and love to your life, look no further because I'm your girl. Let's create a sanctuary of love and happiness together—I promise you won't regret it!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
