About JD & Zelda - Located in Preston
Hey there, fellow feline enthusiasts! I'm JD, and I'm here to introduce you to the dynamic duo you never knew you needed: me and my BFF Zelda! We're a pair of purr-fectly delightful girls just waiting for our forever home, and trust me when I say, we come as a package deal.
First things first, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm what you might call a social butterfly—bold, confident, and always ready to spread some love. Picture this: you're going about your day when suddenly, I strut up to you with all the confidence in the world, ready to shower you with affection. Yep, that's me! I'm all about head bunts, belly flops, and cozy snuggles. Oh, and let's not forget about food—I'm a girl who knows what she likes, and food is definitely at the top of that list!
Now, onto my partner in crime, Zelda. She's the yin to my yang, the calm to my storm. While I'm out there stealing the spotlight with my outgoing nature, Zelda prefers to observe from the comfort of her cozy cave. But don't let her shyness fool you—once she warms up to you, get ready for some serious smooches! She's a slow burn, but trust me, the wait is totally worth it.
Together, Zelda and I make quite the dynamic duo. Whether we're snuggled up together or exploring our new kingdom (aka your home), we're guaranteed to bring some warmth and love into your life. So, if you're looking for a pair of sweet, affectionate girls to brighten up your days, look no further because we're ready to make some memories with you. Let's embark on a purr-fectly delightful adventure together—what do you say?

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
