Roxie

Poor Roxie found herself in the pound through no fault of her own. She has had many lonely days in there waiting for her forever home, thankfully she is now in care foster care while she waits.
Roxie is a 2 year old kelpie mix ( with maybe a smooth coated collie ) with her gorgeous floppy ears, adorable face and glossy black coat. She is a loveable goofball who lives life to the fullest and is a glass half full kinda dog. You will never feel down with this dog around. Her happy smiling face will always put one on yours.
She is being fostered on a farm and does not want to round up any of the livestock. She is fine with the chickens and the family cat. Her limited social skills with dogs are developing nicely and she is now enjoying a run and rumble in the paddocks with the family kelpie. We feel she would also be happy as an only dog as long as she is included as part of the family. Roxie loves humans and is very gentle and loving with the children in her foster home ( age 5 and 7)
Roxie will be OK if her family works as long as she has had a good walk in the morning. She appears content to wait for them until they get home. She does not have any destructive behaviors but getting the exercise she needs will make sure they don't develop.
Roxie can come, sit, shake, drop, get on her bed when asked, walk comfortably on a lead. We are working on stay. She travels well in the car and is a really easy dog to have around.
