Schumi is your typical heeler mix - smart, loving, independent, protective, curious, energetic and very, very loyal.

Schumi is toilet trained, loves his walks and walks well on lead with a harness and is good when left alone for short periods of time, as long as he has some enrichment activities to keep him busy. He gets on well with his foster dog brother & sister but does enjoy chasing the resident cats so not recommended for a household with cats or pocket pets.

He knows how to sit and is learning how to drop but being a heeler mix he is a smart boy who would love someone to spend time teaching him some more cool tricks. He is a snuggly boy who loves his adult & kid humans and is also a great play mate for any dog big or small after a slow introduction as he can be reactive however this can be easily fixed with an owner who is committed to a bit of training to make him feel secure.

Schumi is still learning how to play with his toys but loves bones and antlers as well as sometimes a tennis ball or just a good old stick. Schumi does shed, but his coat is adorable and silky, and he doesn’t mind being bathed.

Schumi is a total sweetheart who would make a great addition to any family!
