With her gentle demeanour and affectionate spirit, Aries is sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet her.
About: Aries is the perfect fit for both first-time dog owners and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
With her adaptable nature, she seamlessly integrates into any household, bringing her sunny disposition and wagging tail wherever she goes.
She thrives in active environments, making her an ideal partner for outdoor adventures.
Ideal Home: As for living arrangements, Aries is flexible; whether it's a house in the suburbs or sprawling acreage in the countryside, as long as there's a medium to large yard with secure fencing, she's happy to call it home.
Aries would love to have the freedom to explore both indoors and outdoors, making the most of every moment.
Family: Whether you're a family with kids or a busy professional, Aries is your girl; she's open to meet kids of any age & is the perfect dog for those who work full-time hours.
Furry Friends: While Aries currently prefers to be the only dog in the home, it's not due to any animosity towards her fellow canines but simply a matter of confidence. With a little extra love and attention, she has high potential to become a social butterfly among her furry peers. We're committed to working with Aries to boost her confidence and ensure she blossoms into the best version of herself.
As we cannot test how Aries would be living with or meeting cats/pocket pets, it would be up to the direction of her new owners.
As always, we recommend that when introducing your new & existing animals that it is does slowly & that each animals boundaries are respected.
Work: Post-adoption training such as at home or group classes will satisfy her need for confidence & training. She has an eagerness to work for treats. Speaking of treats, she LOVES them & takes them gently form your hand.
She's a quick learner, responding well to commands like "sit," "stay," "down," and "shake."
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: From hiking trails to playful romps in the yard, Aries is always up for fun-filled escapades. With medium energy needs, she enjoys daily walks ranging from 20 to 30 minutes, keeping her body and mind in top-notch condition.
On walks, Aries is a breeze to handle, walking beautifully on a lead with minimal pulling & while she's not particularly interested in toys, she relishes human interaction and training sessions.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
