About Skip
Skip is the endearing three-legged wonder dog who grew up in the desert in the Northern Territory and loves people, food and pats. He is very laid back and happy to sleep the day away, but he is always keen for a walk when offered. His tail wags with happiness when meeting new people.
Skip is a playful pooch who loves playing games like tug-o-war and being chased around. Although Skip can be a bit overexcited with his greetings and can sometimes give playful nibbles, he is learning to stay down and offer gentle kisses instead. Despite having three legs, Skip doesn't let that stop him from any of the usual dog activities - he even loves swimming! He especially enjoys retrieving sticks from the water. Skip has recently become sensitive to loud noises such as fireworks or the cracking of a stick or tin can, and will chase motorbikes. Triggers are more of an issue when he's restricted on a lead. Being highly intelligent and food driven comes in handy when continuing his training.
Skip is such a loving dog who has shown great potential with kids and other animals - although he does need to be monitored when meeting new friends. With a consistent routine and further training, Skip will make an excellent companion for a dog-savvy owner in either semi-rural or urban environments - as long as there aren't any cats around!
