Meet Ellie,

young Ellie is looking for a family to call her own. She is hoping to find someone who understands that the world can feel a bit overwhelming at times. Ellie needs to be given time to take in her surroundings & she needs her people to reassure her so that she understands that she is safe.

She really enjoys being close to her people &, once you gain her trust, she will be by your side as your devoted & loyal companion. She is gentle & affectionate. She also enjoys the company of other dogs.

She will grow into a medium to large adult & will require regular daily exercise as well as physical & mental enrichment. She is a smart girl, already learning cues such as "Sit" & "Down". The key to teaching dogs is repetition & positive reinforcement - rewarding desirable behaviours with something the dog wants, such as treats, toys, play & praise.

Ellie needs an understanding & patient family who appreciate that giving dogs choice instead of forcing them into situations, gives them confidence.
