About Baby
Meet Koda and Baby, a delightful duo of Bloodhound x Beagle sisters on the lookout for a forever home where they can stay together as a bonded pair. At just over a year old, these affectionate girls are brimming with love and are eager to find a family to call their own.
Koda is the more reserved of the two, with a gentle soul that takes a moment to warm up to new faces. Once she feels comfortable, she's a loyal companion who loves nothing more than snuggling up for cuddles with her humans. Baby, on the other hand, is the life of the party! This fun-loving and confident pup is always ready for an adventure and enjoys exploring the world around her with boundless enthusiasm.
Both Koda and Baby get along well with other dogs, making them an ideal addition to a multi-pet household. However, due to their strong prey drive, they would do best in a home without cats. Additionally, while they adore attention, they would be most comfortable in a home with older children who can understand and respect their boundaries.
Training is a must for these girls, as it will help them thrive and become the best companions they can be. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, they'll quickly pick up on commands and manners. Regular exercise and enrichment activities are also essential to keep them mentally and physically stimulated throughout the day, ensuring they lead happy and fulfilled lives.
If you're looking to double the love and companionship in your life, Koda and Baby are ready and waiting to bring joy and laughter into your home. Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome these sweet sisters into your family-they'll fill your days with warmth, snuggles, and endless happiness.
To book a meet and greet with Baby and Koda please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
