About Koda
Meet Koda, a sweet Bloodhound x Beagle who is searching for her forever home. At just over a year old, Koda is a gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new faces. Once she feels comfortable, she transforms into a loyal companion who loves nothing more than cuddling up with her humans.
Koda is great with other dogs and would thrive in a multi-pet household. However, due to her strong prey drive, she would do best in a home without cats. Koda would also be most comfortable in a home with older children who understand and respect her boundaries.
Training is key for Koda, as it will help her become the best companion she can be. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, she'll quickly learn commands and manners. Regular exercise and enrichment activities will keep her mentally and physically stimulated, ensuring she leads a happy and fulfilled life.
If you're looking for a loving and devoted companion, Koda is ready to bring joy and warmth into your home. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this sweet girl into your family-she'll fill your days with love and endless happiness.
Good fencing (NO Farm fencing) is something that is needed for this girl, Given her breed she does enjoy exploring and following her nose.
To book a meet and greet with Koda please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
