About Autumn
Miss Autumn makes up one quarter of our seasons litter and as you can see by her spectacular ears, she is waiting to hear her perfect forever family has found her. This girl absolutely loves a cuddle and will always be up for any game that includes some toys. This girl has so much potential and will make an amazing dog for a family who are looking for a best friend to include in all life’s adventures. She is currently sitting at a pint sized 5kg and we expect her to mature somewhere between 20-25kg.
While in foster care she has been living with a large breed dog who she has been enjoying spending her days with and is learning how to play with a much bigger dog. She has not been socialised with many other unfamiliar dogs due to her vaccination status, so her new owners will need to ensure they have a solid plan to continue her socialisation with known, friendly dogs in the form of play dates instead of dog parks where there is a lot of unpredictability, however her friendly and sweet demeanour will make socialisation easy.
Due to her young age, Autumn has just started getting out and about into the big wide world. She loves exploring new places and sniffing wonderful smells, but meeting new people can be a little nerve wrecking at first. She is building confidence everyday, but will need a new owner who can continue to socialise her with lots of new faces. Once she knows someone, she is extremely affectionate and playful with them. Autumn will have moderate exercise needs as an adult and will need owners committed to at least one outing daily and some mental stimulation to keep her satisfied.
Autumn’s foster carers have described her as the calmest foster dog they have ever had and she willingly takes herself off for naps regularly throughout the day. She is very well behaved around the house for a young pup, only getting into mischief if given too much freedom if you are busy. She is working very hard on her toilet training which is coming along nicely, but will need continued reinforcement in a new environment. Her basic training is also progressing well- luckily for her new owners she is good motivated which makes training a breeze and lots of fun. She is sleeping through the night in her crate and travels well in the car. She will need owners committed to her ongoing training due to her young age to ensure she continues to flourish into a wonderful canine citizen.
Autumn will need seasoned dog handlers to help her continue to navigate her new world. She will be fine as an only dog or with another confident adult dog in the household to show her the ropes. Either way, due to her young age she will require owners who are home most of the time especially during the settling in period. She will need to be allowed inside as part of the family and provided a warm and comfy bed inside to sleep on of a night. She should be fine to be integrated into a home with cats or children as long as the home environment is not overwhelmingly busy as she is still a bit more on the shy side. Autumn is looking for owners who want to get out and about and enjoy all the wonders of life with her and be someone’s new best friend.
Autumn is extremely affectionate and loyal and once she builds a bond, will be your partner for life. She is great fun to take out and about and gives the best snuggles at home on the couch. She is generally a very easy pup who just wants to please her people. If you feel like you are the adventurous and dog savvy family autumn is searching for, fill out an adoption enquiry form on our website as the next step in the process. Please include plenty of detail about your home life and the lifestyle you can offer Autumn.
Additional information: This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
