About Bo Jangles
Bo's personality:
Bo Jangles is a handsome, bright-eyed boy who we have estimated to be approximately 12 months old. He is a Great Dane X Catahoula, who regularly shows off his affectionate personality! Now waiting for his loving forever home, could Bo be the missing piece to your family?
Bo’s personality:
Bo is a very handsome boy (as you can see!), with beautiful leopard markings. His long legs and clumsy puppy stride, are so endearing to watch as he races around after his favourite ball during playtime. As playful as Bo is, he also loves some quiet time where he can snuggle up with his humans as they adoringly pat his head. Snuggles from his new family are a non-negotiable according to Bo!
Bo shows curiosity about the world around him, which is amazing considering the life he came from – highlighting his adaptability and bravery. He loves to explore on walks and will sit patiently while being harnessed for his daily exercise. Bo is very eager to please, meaning he takes to learning very well and will excel by receiving ongoing training in his new home.
Bo's ideal forever home:
Bo would suit a home where he is able to receive copious amounts of love and affection! A daily exercise routine is also a must for him, with a nice walk and some playtime in his fully fenced backyard. Bo would be best suited to a home where the children are comfortable with large doggies - being able to throw a ball for him would be a big bonus too! We are unsure if he would be best in a home with or without a resident doggy at this stage and introductions prior to adoption will be necessary. Bo has not been tested around pocket pets or small animals at this stage.
Above all else Bo will need guidance and patience (as well as love!), to be able to settle in to, potentially, his first ever home and family.
Bo's story:
Bo was found wandering in the rural Cedar Party area in December, alongside another doggy, Rocky. They were taken in by a member of the public and then picked up by the RSPCA. Following this, they both sadly ended up in the local pound in an extremely emaciated condition. Due to their condition, we were allowed to take them in under duty of care to ensure that they received medical attention and lots of nutritious food. Shortly after arriving and being assessed by the vet, they moved into foster care, where they continued to receive lots of love and 3 nutrient-filled meals a day. This was only a short term arrangement and both boys are now back in residence at Sweet Pea, waiting patiently waiting for their turn to find their forever homes!
More about Bo:
Bo is a playful and extremely affectionate boy. His trust in humans has definitely not been broken, despite what he may have been through prior to coming in to our care. Bo is a happy-go-lucky kind of boy, who just wants to be loved and will make an amazing companion to one lucky family. His favourite pastime is to race around after a ball, or sit contentedly chewing on it. You can be assured that this snuggly, goofy boy will be right by your side at the end of the day just ready and waiting for his daily pats!
If you think Bo is a match made in heaven for your family, apply to adopt him today! His adoption fee is $500, which contributes towards his care to date.
Medical notes
Bo's medical history:
Bo arrived in our care extremely underweight at only 20.4kg. He had a heavy burden of roundworm, fleas and ticks. After receiving appropriate treatment for these and a good quality diet, Bo slowly started to put weight on and finally had some energy. He is now only slightly underweight for his size (31.4kg) and is so much happier and healthier! Bo was recently desexed and is also microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with parasitic preventatives.
