About Sheryl
Sheryl’s had a bit of a bumpy ride in life of late. She came to us with a badly damaged hip after being hit by a car, but her owners couldn’t afford the vet fees and were going to euthanise her. Fast forward a few months - after being surrendered to us and having the necessary pins, stitches and plaster to make her damaged leg at least usable again. After six weeks convalescing with very limited mobility allowed, she is getting around well but does have a limp, which will be permanent.
There is a possibility that Sheryl will contract arthritis in her damaged hip in older age.
She gets along well with other dogs and cats, but is anxious and detests storms (and even just rain) and hides in the nearest cupboard until the weather has passed.:
Sheryl would be suited to a quiet home without young children. She will happily follow you around the house and garden and keep you company wherever you are.
Sheryl wouldn’t cope with flights of stairs.
Please send an enquiry through PetRescue telling us about the home and lifestyle you could offer her.
Medical notes
Has had a broken hip joint, which has been repaired. She walks with a limp in her hind leg.
Adoption details
Please express your interest by sending an email through PetRescue.
Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer a dog.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer a dog in terms of activities, outings and training.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if it will be welcomed inside.
