Meet the adorable hairy faced Kakapo.

This pup shows the most features of the staghound in looks; yet certainly has the mindset and smarts of the border collie!

Kakapo is a clever girl who is toilet trained, and has already learned the commands sit, come & drop.

She thrives on training (is very food motivated which helps!) and loves frolicking with her siblings or playing a good game of tug of war.

She enjoys lots of naps in the sun, walks (she’s great on the lead!) and sniffing around.

Kakapo is quite a confident pup and is the first to explore new situations.

She would do well on her own with a human companion/s, or with another confident dog to keep her company.

She currently sleeps outside, and does well being left on her own if needed, as long as she has a bone or toys to entertain her.

She is currently in foster with her sister Huia, and a resident kelpie on a hobby farm, and has learnt to respect the animals bigger than her.

Kakapo loves kids, and is very tolerant with them - happy to be pushed around in a wheelbarrow, hang out in a cubby and be given baths by her human foster siblings.
