About Esther
Meet Esther, a medium-sized pup with a personality that's as delightful as it is distinct. With her wirey-haired coat and heartwarming charm, she's ready to bring light-hearted, entertaining moments that will definitely brighten your days.
Esther is friendly and playful. She loves visiting beaches and dog parks and would be absolutely thrilled to share a home with another active canine friend so she always has a buddy to play with. Esther is still learning to walk on lead without pulling and will benefit from more training while out and about.
Esther is learning basic commands and will sit for treats. She has also been crate trained and knows "bed" command. She'll comfortably retreat to her special space whenever she needs to. She is also a fan of cuddling on the couch and will happily accept a spot on your bed - if you're offering!
Esther is a cuddle-bug who enjoys tender moments with her adopters but also appreciates her personal space and respects yours as well. A family with someone at home most of the time would suit Esther perfectly, as she is always ready to provide company and share in fun activities but also happy to snooze at your feet and recharge her batteries while you work.
Esther comes with her quirks- Cats and Esther do not see eye to eye, making her best suited for a home without felines. And while she is sociable and usually good around dogs, Esther can sometimes be a bit on the overly submissive side, meaning her eagerness to make sure that other dogs like her can sometimes have the opposite effect and be a bit annoying so she may need reminders to back off if her new friends aren't appreciating her efforts to suck up to them. Esther is on medication to help her feel less anxious. She'll benefit immensely from a nurturing family who can patiently guide her through her ongoing training and manage her medication but don't let this deter you! Living with Esther is not hard work.
Esther has a joyous zest for life and she loves people, especially kids. She will offer loyalty, companionship, and hours of fun if you are ready to invest in her training and wellbeing. It will soon be hard to imagine your home without this unique, loving and engaging girl in it!
