Meet Kirk: a lively, affectionate boy with the boundless energy of a boxer and the loving heart of a mastiff. Although Kirk has been with us at GAWS for a while, he's still searching for that special family to call his own. With the exuberance of a typical young boxer mix, Kirk's enthusiasm might make him a bit challenging to focus initially. However, once you spend time with him, you'll discover a dog eager to please and quick to learn, especially if you're ready to guide him through life's adventures.

Kirk can be selective about his canine friends, so he would thrive best in a home where he can either be the only dog or where introductions to other dogs are managed carefully. He enjoys vigorous, energetic play with the right dog who can match his zest. Kirk has also shown that he's great with older kids who can handle his large size and high energy. In foster and adoption trials, he’s proven himself capable of settling into a home beautifully. Unfortunately, he isn’t suited for a home with cats or small pets.
