Hello, I'm Kenny, a shy and sensitive older Border Collie in search of a patient and understanding home. When I first arrived at the shelter, the busy environment left me feeling quite overwhelmed and worried. I used to live in a rural home with many other dogs, and it seems I missed out on some crucial socialization when I was younger.
I can be a bit cautious around new people, but if you crouch down, offer some yummy treats, and let me take the lead, I warm up quickly. Having a crate or den area in my new home would be fantastic, providing me with a safe space to retreat to when things get a bit too much. I'm looking for a calm home environment with minimal foot traffic, and right now, the team is helping me get used to a lead. I've never been on one before, so we're working on desensitization. If you're a teen-only household and can offer me the patience and love I need, I'm ready to be your loyal companion.
