About Sydney
Sydney is only a baby, at six month old whose owner has made the very difficult decision to rehome him as their circumstances have changed, which was not foreseen. They are putting the welfare of Sydney before their own desire to keep their loved boy.
Sydney is really only a baby, yet he is able to keep calm when in his pen.
He responds to love and affection, sometimes with a little bit too much enthusiasm.
Sydney's inexperienced owner has tried to train him however more general training and guidance needs to be provided.
Please check out Sydney's phots and video.
We would recommend Sydney's new family continue with his socialisation to ensure he continues to grow into a self assured and calm dog. They will also need patience with him but he is a quick learner and loves to be around people.
We are looking for a committed owner who will ensure Sydney receives the training he needs and the skills to become an integral member of the family. Previous experience with this breed or large breed dogs is a must.
If you are prepared to make a 10 year plus commitment to this beautiful boy then click on the link on your screen selecting "Enquire about Sydney".
Please see his medical notes regarding desexing.
If you live in Victoria or Queensland, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family and any dogs to meet Sydney. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Sydney is not yet desexed due to his age. The new owner will be required to sign a desexing contract and show proof of desexing. This process will be explained if you make an enquiry.
Sydney has been recently vaccinated, and has been provided with flea/tick/heartworm prevention as well as treated for worms.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
